Back on the island

Evening all
Well, back on the island. Watching the guys playing pool. It's Alex's birthday today, the grand old age of 24! Just back from shore leave and ready to start working. Anyway, I missed a couple of days so I'll fill you in!

Okay, if I remember correctly the Saturday started off with a joint effort including the Scouts Residential group, Alex and myself attempting to relocate the electric fence while the sheep were still enclosed. It took rather a long time, but we got there in the end! They all started munching straight away when the new area of grass became available! Greedy lot.
While Alex kept the Scouts busy with activities around the island, I looked after the three-hour trip. Again, a really nice bunch of people who seemed to really enjoy their stay.

Last Sunday, the morning started with preparing the Barracks for the three-hour visit, which I wasn't going to be around for as I was due for my shore leave! However, I was working all the way up until I was sitting on the boat travelling back to the mainland! They keep you busy here! All good fun!
So anyhow, after preparing the Barracks I helped Matt clear the Light House Common of the nettles and less attractive vegetation growing there. This filled the time up until lunch and then the last task I had on the island was helping the Scout residential clean the Farm House, before sailing back to the mainland and home!
Today, after coming back on the 10:45 boat, it's been a calm day as we have all had the afternoon free, in celebration of Alex's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX! We all enjoyed a BBQ and now we're playing pool the Barracks having a Wales of a time...ho ho ho! Standing by.
