What do Mondays mean - WEEKLY CLEAN & CHECKS! Gotten used to this routine now, we all work well as a team and it gets done pretty quick. We were done by 12:30, had our break and then worked till 13:30, as it would have been silly to only work for half an hour and then having lunch!
Only four of us on the island at the mo, so it's quite peaceful and relaxed. The others will be coming back later in the week, along with a couple of Scout residential trips. The island will change to being some what noisier and less relaxed!
Today, Gosia and I spent the day clearing up vegetation cuttings from the path strimming, done at the end of last week. It didn't look like a huge amount before it was raked, but we managed to take THREE trailer loads to the grass pile! I was rather pleased with myself today, as I managed to reverse the tractor and trailer out of the grass pile in one go and get it back into the Agri shed completely square! YAY! Not bad as I haven't driven it for a while.
Nathan carried on with fixing some more of the wooden furniture and Sam got on with some office things and then worked on the Farm House garden. Gosia and I attempted the ladybug survey, but after only covering 100 m of the route it absolutely chucked it down! We had to take shelter behind building, though we were still getting soaked! If only the island had trees! Then you could shelter under then for a little bit.
Anyway, I think I'm going to watch telly or if there is nothing on, I'll read my book. Night ... Standing By.
